Not enough room on DVD disc for my converted VHS movie

I am converting my VHS movies to DV using the analog to digital pass-through of my Sony camcorder, and then importing the DV into iMovie. I then save the DV as a Quicktime file on my desktop. I drag and drop the Quicktime movie file into Toast 6, and it tells me that there is not enough room on the DVD disc for the movie. My question is how do I get the entire movie onto the DVD disc? Do I need a more sophisticated application than Toast? They do it commercially, so there must be a way....or am I just missing something...? Ken.

you probably just need to lower the quality a bit of the movie

Toast 6 only gives you two options in regards to video quality..."high" quality and "standard" quality. Both options give me the "not enough room on disc" message...iMovie gives you three export format options..."email", "to camera", and "Quicktime"...the "email" option is very poor quality....

when exporting in iMovie go to quicktime file and expert settings. you can increase the key frames or lower the frame rate a bet
