Hiya,

My submission - taken February this year in Chicago, this is pretty much where the ertswhile Route 66 began.

Unfortunately being from England - I'm not sure what the actual street is called, but it is outside the Sears Tower I'm pretty sure.

The original 1600x1200 pic is here (less dark)
Route 66 Begins

Taken with a Sony Cybershot 2.1mp camera (not sure on the specs exactly! just a cheap camera, P50 maybe?)

Glad you like it :flower: Thanks

I have many more, see this thread where I have put a few more but this one I posted here was my favourite (though it is close to call on some):

Took this over the weekend. He ended up diving onto the pylon for a touchdown right after I took the shot.

This is the train station that I work near, the guy is one of the security guards that patrols there at night, they were all over me like a rash when they see my camera what with the terrorist bombings that were only 30 minutes away from this station. I showed them the shots and told them that I would delete any of them if they wished but they were both nice guys and had no problems after they had talked to me and see my photos. :)

Very well done. How long did it take you to get this shot? Judging by the long exposure I assume that you only get one shot per train?

I couldn't help myself... I had to update my pic...

It just wouldn't have seemed appropriate to wait until November to post this more festive of photos...
