Can't connect Macbook Pro to a D-Link 615 Wireless Router

I configured the D-Link 615 router on my windows pc, using
wpa_psk security, etc. My android phone Samsung Epic 4G
connected immediately with the passkey, and functions great. My Macbook Pro will not connect, giving either a Connection Timeout, or a Connection Failed. I'm at a loss what to do
next. Is there some other configuration I need to do on
my Macbook Pro?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Try (AES) WPA2 only then reboot.

I made the change, rebooted, it still gives a
"connection timeout."
