Hello!

So, I recently got a new Android phone and have it all set up with my gmail account. I also have that account set up to go to my mail app. I get downloads of the emails in both places, however when I read one on my phone, it doesn't show up as read on my mail app, and vice versa. Meaning I have to delete them in both places for it to ever be gone...

Does anyone know how I can sync this so that I only have to read/delete with one or the other and don't get duplicates? It's driving me nuts!

You need to setup your GMail account to use IMAP. It sounds like you're still using POP mail. The GMail page has complete instructions on how to setup an IMAP account.

In my google mail it says I have IMAP enabled, and when I searched in my mail app, it's set up as IMAP. Any other suggestions? :(

I don't have any other suggestions. If IMAP is setup correctly, you should be able to read mail or even delete mail with your Android and it'll show up that way on all your other devices that you have synced to the same account.
