Hi All,
I recently decided to bring out my mac desktop to act as a type of home server for the wife and kids, so far all is good, except for the newsgroups.
When im downloading from the newsgroup I get a very slow download speed, typical a file of 2gig is taking around 30mins to download
If I was to download the same file, via my pc, its takes around 4 mins
I have tried switching servers and ports from the news provider and so far tried using 5 different readers on my mac, including Sabnzb, Unison and Nzbvortex, all give the same results
Am i missing somthing here or is the mac just plain slow when it comes to newsgroups?
