Numbers oddity?

Hi all,
Running Numbers 09 V2.1 on latest version of SL. Occasionally when I try to enter an amount into a spreadsheet it will not show up in the cell. What I mean is when typing, nothing is entered in the cell. If I then close numbers down and re-open, type in the number again, all is OK.
Anyone have this problem?
