I have an mp3 player which is not mac compatible and I'm trying to play music from it through the mac. The audio is going in through the line in but I cannot get audio to play out through the internal speaker although I can see the audio levels coming through. The sound pref settings are set to Input - Line-in and Output - Internal Speaker. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is this not actually possible?
