Hello everyone im new here and since i updated my Macbook Pro im having problems playing my favorite game [The Sims 3] every time i play it freezes like in a min and i need to shut down my mac. Some people told me it has to do with my Graphic card. and im not the only one with this problem either.

MacBook Pro
13-inch, Mid 2009

Processor 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7

Will Mac and EA fix it? or i'm basically messed up and i need to buy a new Mac and play Sims there?

Welcome to the Mac Forums.

Looking through the various posts and the Sims forum, it appears that Sims 3 is not compatible with OS X Lion. You'll either have to wait until it's updated or patched. (If ever.) Given the past performance of Electronic Arts and their shaky support of the Mac platform, I wouldn't be surprised if they did nothing.

Agreed. Definitely one of the downsides to gaming on a Mac!
