I'm having problems with my macbook (identifier 2,1) not recognising taps on the keyboard or touchpad.
I am using an external mouse and keyboard to get around the issue for the moment and all other aspect of the macbook seem to be working fine.
I have had a look at the physical cable under the battery and all seems to be intact. I have also tried pushing on the cable to see if that would make a difference and it hasn't.
I am thinking I maybe up for a top cover replacement, but want to see if there was anything I could try first before going down that path.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
