3G - not recognised by mini mac

Folks - I've just purchased a mac mini and when I connect my 3G card it see's it as a 'disk' and doesn't recognise it. any idea's how to get around this ? is there additional software etc required? TIA

What kind of 3G card and for which provider? Chances are it's going to need drivers in order to be recognized.

Sorry about that, I only joined yesterday and posted my query in the wrong forum!

I managed to resolve after much effort, additional drivers etc required. thanks!
