Hi,
So I've had a MacBook for a few years now, but only today noticed something odd. It is a 2007 year end model, and the specs clearly say "two USB 2.0 ports". When I look at the System Profiler, the speeds show up as "up to 12 MB/sec". Here are the two devices I've plugged in:
UA-25EX:
Product ID: 0x00e6
Vendor ID: 0x0582 (Roland Corporation)
Version: 1.01
Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: Roland
Location ID: 0x1d100000
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): 480
USB Uno MIDI Interface:
Product ID: 0x0150
Vendor ID: 0x0763 (M-Audio)
Version: 0.14
Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: M-Audio
Location ID: 0x1a200000
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): 0
It is very likely that both these devices, although new, are only USB 1.1. How can I tell if my ports are USB 2.0 for sure? Is there a way to tell when no devices are hooked up to the USB ports?
Thanks!
