US Mac Pro in Europe

Hello,

I've found quite a few used Mac Pros (mostly 2 - 3 years old) on eBay. The problem is that the Macs are American and I live in Europe.

My question is: do Mac Pros use a standard computer power supply unit? My point is that if they do, I could easily replace the 110V American PSU with a 230V European one.

And if they don't, I would have to have the PSU replaced in an authorised Apple service centre, right?

According to specs at the Apple Store it appears it has dual voltage capabilities:

Line voltage: 100-120V AC or 200-240V AC (wide-range power supply input voltage)

Apple computers and other Apple devices are voltage ready world wide. You would only need to purchase the correct adapter plug to utilize your local mains.

Just buy a new power lead and all will be well.My Mac Pro came from Apple in Elk Grove, CA, shipped to Australia with furniture and simply plugged in a 240 volt local lead no problem.
