That is very strange, because iMovie uses quicktime. What version of quicktime are you using? Also are you using iMovie 4.0.1?

I wondering if there is a conflict between quicktime 7 and iMovie 4. I am using iMovie 4.0.1 and quicktime 6.5.2. I can import quicktime movies into iMovie. You can try upgrading quicktime to 7.0.2, you can down grade to quicktime 6.5.2. Or you can upgrade to iMovie 5.0.2 and quicktime 7.0.2.

No audio in iMovie with Quicktime files.

When i import Quicktime files in to iMovie HD the audio has seemed to disappear. I extract the audio content but the actual sound wave is not visable. when i play the quicktime files just in quicktime they are fine, and you can hear the audio...any one know whats wrong?.im using iMovie HD and Quicktime 7.0.0
