Windows Outlook 2003 to Mac 2011

Hi,
I'm new to Mac. I want to get Office for Mac 2011, and move my Outlook files (emails, contacts, calendar) from my Windows 2003. From what' I've read, it's telling me it can't be done. Do I have any other options?
Also, can I move my Windows Word 2003 files to Mac Word 2011?

Outlook - Office 2011 can import pst files from the windows version

Word - of course you can - Office for mac will be able to read the files no problem
