My friend and his sister have near identical MacBooks -- CPU speed seems to be the only difference, and it's marginal, but they both have the same Broadcom chipset wireless card. My friend's laptop has full wifi strength upstairs, but his sister only gets 1 or 2 bars. Turning the Airport on/off seems to help very briefly. Could this be a hardware/firmware problem, or is one laptop simply "soaking up" all of the wifi?
