downloading music in safari

I'm still relatively new to mac's and i've come across a problem I dunno how to fix

When I download music (mp3 files) from a website using safari, it automatically populates iTunes and plays it.... how do i stop this ??

I've only recently moved to safari (since the lion update) I have always been a chrome user prior to lion

I want to move the music from the downloads folder and put it into a music folder before I add it too iTunes, I don't want the mac to sort it for me

any ideas

I'm new to mac as well. I just got my new macbook pro i5 2010 model.

from Download mp3 music!

Open Preferences in Safari.
In the General tab, untick "Open Safe files after Uploading".

This will also stop the automatic import into iTunes

thank you... I looked in pref's but didn't pick up on what that check box meant
