Hi, I have a fairly basic question. As a Mac newbie I'm a bit puzzled about Airport Express and what it actually does?
I currently have BT home hub wireless router, and my iMac, 2 PC laptops & PS3 all run through it. I want to be able to stream music from my iTunes on the iMac to my stereo. I understand that I can add the Airport Express to my existing network and then connect it to my DAC or Amp via toslink cable, and stream music. Not 100% sure that I am correct about this though
In November I am thinking of ditching BT, and therefore would no longer use Home Hub as router. Would I then be able to use AE as the main wireless router, as well as using it to stream music, or is it an either/or situation. If I will still need a router, are there any that folks here would recommend to use with AE?
Many thanks!
BF
