Using Windows project files on a Mac

Hi

I am fairly new to Mac's - although I have used them at work for a long time. My Dad is now looking seriously looking into getting one at home after finally having enough with Windows etc

His main questions is the below:

He uses Adobe Premiere ELEMENTS to edit his home movies etc. If he gets Elements for MAC will he be able to open those original PC project files?

If answer is yes or no does this go for other all project files on all applications - photoshop etc

While there are some differences between the Mac version and the Windows version, they should both open the same projects. Unless someone here has a different experience...

an update: you officialy can't open Premiere Elements PC project files on a Mac! Prem Pro you can, but not Elements

Stupid Adobe. Who do they think they are, Microsoft?
