I have heard on the internet that alot of people are using their mac minis as web servers with the built in websharing that is in OS X. I would also like a laptop, that I could use sometimes so that i can have wifi, and on the road and things like that. I was wondering if that would be ok, and then if i could just plug it into the router when i want it to just be a server. Also, when it is on the wifi connection, is it still going to be able to serve things to the people, as in, will people still be able to get my website when i am connected to my network on wifi.

You will also have to set up port forwarding for it to work behind a router
