Hi everyone,

I'm a brand new mac owner as of yesterday, and using Safari I found that I needed to install Adobe Flash Player to do pretty much anything except for look at text and images. So I downloaded the installer (which came as a disk image on my desktop - confusing for me) and now everything works fine.

BUT: I've noticed there is now something called "Adobe Flash Player Install Manager" in my Applications>Utilities folder.

Why is that there?
Do I need it?
Can I remove it?

I assume everyone who uses Safari must have had to download the same package...

Thanks for any info!

It's the uninstaller for Flash. It's probably best to keep it just in case.

I'd just leave it there. It's not taking up much room.

Yes, anyone who installs flash has it. Doesn't matter which browser.

It's not Safari specific - all browsers use Flash (although Chrome comes with Flash). Yes, I have it and so would anyone else who manually installed Flash.

EDIT: schweb beat me to it!

Not sure...

I have two of these :s
One is slightly larger then the other, the larger being in Utilities > Adobe and the smaller is just in Utilities.
Also in the adobe folder is another few folders: Flashplayer > AddIns > airappinstaller.
In that is an script of some sort called airappinstaller and a file called digest.s

Any idea on why that is there?
