Hey all, so my 3+ year Macbook Pro was put to rest last week. As you may remember, the monitor casing fell apart, exposing a bunch of wires in the back. At least one of the wires shorted, and it wouldn't turn on (A trip to the Apple Store revealed that something happened that disrupted power to the logic board, hence its inability to power on).
However, they said that if this is the case my hard drive would be salvagable. I was told that I could open up my old Macbook, take out the hard drive and put it in a casing, and use that as an external hard drive.
So my question is, what would be a good casing to use for a hard drive from a 15" Macbook Pro? Also, he mentioned I'd need a screwdriver, I think it was called a T-6. Any information on those?
