local network setup question

My ipod broke and I am trying to get my itunes music from my ibook classic
OS to my macbookPro. How do I set up a network within my own home to my other macs? I have sharing on but don't know how to get to the address is says my local network is on. Think I am missing a step here somewhere. Thanks!

Which OS versions are you running on the two machines? It shouldn't be too difficult to make this work.

BTW do you have any kind of home network set up already? If so what kind of security are you using (WEP, WPA etc). I don't need to know the password but some of the early Airport cards had issues with some types of encryption.
