I have done some searching and can't find the answer to this question so sorry if it has been asked a million times and I am missing it.

I was helped here tremendously with installing my new hard drive and getting it up and running. I now would like to get the data out of my old one if it's possible. What I bought was this Amazon.com: Apricorn SATA Wire Notebook Hard Drive Upgrade Kit ASW-USB-25 (White): Electronics

I am wondering if I need to load this software (I hate just putting more and more stuff in my computer) or do I just hook the darn thing up and it will show me on my desk top like when I plug my flash drive in?

It couldn't be that easy could it?

Your Mac's Specs
Way... way too many specs to list.
You shouldn't need any software to mount that drive. It should come up like any external drive. The software is for cloning the drive. Not needed in your case.
