If I was going to uni and wanted to get a MacBook, what should I get? A MacBook Pro or a MacBook Air?

Bearing in mind I won't be doing anything 'creative' on it. I may like to play the odd game if that is possible, perhaps TF2 but nothing extreme like BF3. If that isn't possible on either then I am not too fussed. I'll be doing Politics and International Relations so I think that would give you an idea of what stuff I'll be doing on the laptop.

Probably be going for the 13" versions too.

If you don't care about an optical drive and have no need of a large hard drive, the Air would be fine. Easy to carry around from class to class. However, if you're a gamer and in need of a larger hard drive and optical drive, the 13" MBP might be a better choice.

I've had a look at the prices:

MacBook Air 13": £945.60
MacBook Pro 13": £859.20

Surely that would make it wiser to get a MBP instead? Or is there any real significant benefit to getting an Air over a Pro which would justify the price difference?
