Just posting this to see if anyone else is noticing what I have. I installed the Safari upgrade last night - and am noticing an intermittent graphic glitch. It can happen periodically - when either cmd-T - to open a new Tab, or cmd-W - closing that tab. The glitch itself is hard to describe - so I may try to capture it this evening. Thought I'd see if anyone else had observed this.

I must be the only person to notice this - but I just sat at my iMac and upgraded Safari and am seeing the same glitch.

I'm not noticing it here but just to clarify - you're running this on Snow Leopard correct? Perhaps this issue is limited to SL.

Correct - using SL. If I get industrious enough I'll try to make a little video of it this evening.

PS - you'd have to be using Safari to notice :p

LOL - I find it a little annoying. It does it at other random times as well - but the new tab can be consistently replicated.

Yeah, that's an odd glitch alright. I'm not getting it on the iMac as it's running Lion with Safari 5.1. Next time I'm at the office I'll take a look on the MacBook to see if it shows up there. It's still running SL.

Not able to reproduce this behavior on my 09' MacBook Pro with Safari, totally up to date OS. I'm guessing it's a rendering issue tied to the GPU/drivers etc.. Could be processor specific. I'd send in a bug report to Apple and hope they fix this with an update. OR, you could just do what I do, and use a real browser like Firefox ;)

I'm thinking it's tied to the HW as well. I sent a bug report in earlier - and have had several recommendations to use a "real" browser in the mean time - although this is the first for FF. :p

Well - I take that back. I sent it to their suggestion box - I can't send in bugs since I'm not a dev.

Hehe - well - I hate to say it - but right now FF is out performing Safari 5.1 (at least on SL) - and doing so handily. Really hoping a 5.1 update comes soon.

hey man, just updated to 5.1, and safe to say the things broke on Snow Leopard. Wont even open for me.

I just moved to Opera.

Seriously? I didn't realize you were also having problems. I'm amazed. :p

LOL!!! Great movie! :D BTW - I like Top Sites a lot. Bizarre problem you're experiencing. I had no problem upgrading or launching - but I have experienced my share of quirks as well - as I've posted. Just do what I'm doing - tread water with other browsers until the bug fix update comes - and it will. But seriously though... Opera??? Must really be getting desperate ;P
