Can't Modify Utility icon in Lion

For the most part, everything is running smoothly for me. One thing that's driving me nuts, though, is that I can't seem to find a way to modify the icon for my Utilities folder.

I've been using the same set of icons for years for my apps, documents, downloads and utilities. I can set all of them but the utilities folder.

Does anyone know if I need to alter the permissions or is there some other way to change it?

Okay, so I noticed that my utilities folder doesn't show "Me" as a having access in "Sharing & Permissions." So, I added myself to the permissions list and gave myself read/write permission. That allowed my to change my icon.

I know generally permissions shouldn't be changed, so do I run the risk of creating problems in the future? Should I delete "Me" as having access? Repair Permissions?
