ipod jack problem

This is an issue my friend has about her ipod. There's a problem with the headphone jack from inside the ipod. No matter what headphones she plugs in, the sound is spazzy and flaky, and sometimes plays from one side, sometimes the other. Is there any way to fix this? Or would she have to buy a new one? Thanks!

Hmmmm, "spazzy" and "flakky". Is that the same as "intermittent" and "bad sound quality" ?
Sounds to me, like it MAY be an internal jack problem in other words, the female portion of the jack, the hole where you insert the jack itself.
Why is sound and lighting so sexual?

YOU decide after YOU answer the following questions...
-you know your way around an iPod, how to open it up... ?
-can you see a problem when it's staring you right in the eye?
-do you want to chance making your iPod worst then what it presently is?

If the answer to any of these questions is "NO" I would strongly suggest you bring your iPod to your nearest Apple shop and have THEM fix it.

Pay some money now, or buy another iPod then.
