I just installed Lion on my Macbook Pro from 2007. Everything is running great but Airdrop is now where to found. I have looked everywhere for it. Anyone have a clue as to what is going on here?

Airdrop Missing

Macbook Pro models older than the late 2008 unibody refresh do not have a compatible airport card. Therefore airdrop is a Lion feature you will not be able to use. The exact requirements for airdrop across all models are:

AirDrop supports the following Mac models:

MacBook Pro (Late 2008 or newer)
MacBook Air (Late 2010 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 or newer)
iMac (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac mini (Mid 2010 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2009 with AirPort Extreme card, or Mid 2010)

Yeah, I don't think that Apple did a good job making it clear that not all Lion compatible Macs could use all of Lion's features....
