Apple releases 64-bit, full-screen iTunes 10.4 and iWork updates

With Mac OS X Lion now unleashed on the Mac App Store, Apple has also introduced a new version of iTunes that is both 64-bit and full-screen capable, in addition to full-screen version of iWork that will also leverage several other Lion features [update: now available].

I'm not a big fan of iWork, but I may just have to have another look at Pages to see what improvements Apple has made. The new full screen option and autosave - resume sounds good.

Real question is, did they re-write iTunes (Coca?) like they need to and modify it's DB system or did they just paste over the rough spots again?

Yes, they had to since Carbon doesn't support 64-bit. It's now a Cocoa app.

I'm actually noticing they did some changes to it...including the return of the horizontal stoplight. (Even though there was a way to change it back from vertical to horizontal in the last version).

Seems a little less sluggish.
