To all of those people who said that the Map App Store would buckle as soon as Lion went live... I just downloaded it in less than 15 minutes on a 64Mb cable connection with my shiny new AirPort Extreme Base Station. I'm now on "About a minute" with the install. I'm glad I got in there early... :)

It's news, you guys need to refresh every minute. It's all good. I was just surprised there was no thread for the announcement when I left a comment on the other rumor thread. :D

The Lion Up To Date doesn't seem to be working though. I enter my serial number for an iMac purchased from the Apple Store on 6/18/2011 and I get a message saying the serial number doesn't qualify.

Downloaded Lion in under 30 minutes. I have a few things to do before I attempt the upgrade. IE: Back-up.

I hope it all goes smooth. I'm only going to upgrade one of my iMacs for now to see how it all works.

It's good to see that the servers seem to be holding out. I've been playing with it for about 30 minutes now and I like everything I see - I'm actually back working like nothing has even happened. The general OS feels extremely snappy (I have a 2.66GHz MacBook Pro).

What's the deal with your name in the menu bar next to spotlight? Can you hide that?...

Fast User Switching - should be able to toggle it on/off under Users & Groups->Login Options.

Can I ask you a question? How do you know you have 1GB left? I have found no way so far to see the progress except a bar with no markings.

Too many...

Go to the App store, and click on Purchased. It will tell you everything.
I still have 40 minutes to go, and 2.8gb's.

I should have guessed that. Thanks man! :)

How's everyone doing with the inverted scrolling? I kind of like it but it keeps catching me out... (yeah, I just went up to the top when I tried to scroll down to "submit reply", haha)
