Lion installed and runs good, a few hiccups but to be expected with new software. Love the new car smell!

does anyone know if updates to lion will be through the app store or through software update? I just got an iTunes update, but am wondering if updates for Lion will be through software update as well.

I can't get the new 'Jill' and 'Samantha' voices to download. It tells me there's no internet connection. But that's false. Anyone has the same problem...?

Thanks

hmm, after poking around on internet it seems everyone says it'll update through software update.

You mean to initially install it? Or OS updates in the future?

Installed and up and running (although Spotlight indexing is taking forever to complete). The backward scrolling was the first thing I noticed, and disabled it immediately.

Otherwise, I am kind of jazzed about Mission Control. Also like the new Mail client.

For the first time ever, I did a straight upgrade. No issues noted with the install.

You can install on up to 5 machines on one AppleID just like any other App Store app.

The other thing you'll notice right away is that your user Library folder is hidden.

You'll have to use terminal to unhide it.

Just started downloading it. It'll take 8 hours though (yes, slow internet connection), so I was thinking if it would cause any problems if I pause the download and shut down the computer? If not I have to keep it downloading all night.

I would not risk shutting it down! Just leave it to download at it's own pace.

I thought the same thing too but Spotlight is chugging away and I'm also copying over a bunch of stuff (as always, I did a clean install). Is Spotlight still indexing?

Also like the new Mail client.
It's great. Having a widescreen friendly layout is so very very nice.

Just the way it should be. There's no reason for the average user to go messing around in the Library folder (either of them). This was a smart call on Apple's part.
