I’m sitting on the rumour that Lion will be released 7:30PM CST. I’ve 4 alarms on my devices to remind me, no matter where I am, that Lion is going to be released in 5 minutes.

Anyone else doing something like this?

I set an alarm to get up the morning the iPad 2 went on sale so I could order right away.

An hour before the alarm was going to go off, my phone started going nuts with news of the earthquake in Tokyo.. my brother was there and we were waiting to hear from him. So the good news was I got my order in 5 minutes after the window opened! :D We got some of the very first iPad 2s to be shipped.

I will be adopting Lion, just have to decided what to do with all my stuff for work that I do on Parallels. Parallels 5 isn't supported by Lion, I'd have to upgrade to 6. Or do I just want to say screw it and go with iWork or Open Office... Decisions decisions.

I'm not a big fan of Parallels and use Fusion instead. Fusion was ready for Lion and in fact works well. If you're concerned about running an Office suite in Parallels, I would go with one of the free suites, preferably LibreOffice. As far as iWork is concerned, you can only buy the apps individually from the App store. They've just been updated to support Lion.
