Skype stopped working

Skype has stopped working on Mac OS 10.4.11. Message reads cannot use Skype on this version - Skype has been working fine. Any advice.

Have you recently updated Skype? Sounds like you're running the wrong version.

Thanks for reply - Skype stopped working so tried downloading Skype again but still no success - I downloaded skype 5.2.0.1523 which I was pretty sure was for Mac.

Skype 5.2 requires OS X 10.5 minimum - link.

Always verify system requirements prior to upgrading any application, especially when you are using an operating system that is 2 versions, and today becomes 3 versions back.

My suggestion would be to use your backup and restore to a time prior to when you installed the latest version of Skype. Other than that, you'll need to find an older version of Skype or upgrade your OS.
