Scenario: I'm playing an album on my iPod (in iPhone), and the correct artwork shows. I lock the screen. I then click the home button or the lock button. The screen that shows is still locked (it says "slide to unlock"). On that screen, the album artwork for the song currently playing is that of a completely different artist altogether. Or it's artwork of an album that I don't even own. Or, it's simply my lock screen image (not album artwork at all). Yes, all the artwork is correct on my Mac. Know anything about this? It's been happening for months and it's pretty frustrating.

This might sound redundant but u try the soft restore and the restore from itunes?
