Macbook Pro audio out damaged, looking for help

Hello, I am new to the forum. I am in need of some direction. I had my audio out cable running from my macbook to my home theater. I picked up the macbook and forgot the cable was still attached, and now I have sound issues coming from my right speaker, I must have damaged the input. Is there anything I can do to repair this?
