I currently work on an iMac, using Time Machine via a Drobo external storage unit to backup everything. I'm getting a Macbook Pro (and keeping the iMac) so I can take my work home with me.

I need to make my Macbook look like my iMac, in particular, I have Final Cut Studio installed and need to have that on the Macbook.

Is there an easy way to use Time Machine to copy my iMac's image to my new machine?

Thanks!

Yes its called migration assistent and will typically launch when you first boot your new MacBook Pro

Just make sure you have your Time Machine disk attached.
