So a couple of months back my Mum got an iPad 2. She bought the 32GB with Wi-Fi and 3G access. Wanted to know what would be the best way to go about getting a sim card and would you recommend it? Also would it be very expensive in the long run? Would it be the same/similar as iPhone 4 and is it a micro sim or normal sim you need?

Please help,

I'm surprised the people/store she bought it from didn't explain about this.

It's a micro-sim, like the iPhone 4 one. Contact your current cell phone provider to see if they have a data plan for the iPad; if so, they can provide the micro sim.

Either go with AT&T or T-Mobile. Sprint and Verizon does not work with GSM iPad.

AT&T = 2G and 3G
T-Mobile = 2G only (because of incompatible 3G frequencies).
