Download problems

I'm having trouble downloading apps from the app store, this is the first time it's happened to me. I tried to download Garage Band, so my ipad went back to the homescreen and the app icon said waiting... it then asked for my password (later than usual) and i typed it in correctly etc, but the app continues to say waiting... I just tried logging out of the app store but i now can't log back in. Anyone else had the same problem before? I've also tried downloading the app again (when it disappears) but again, not working.

Are you able to download it ok via iTunes on your Mac/PC?

It's finally started downloading, reset my router a couple of times and logged out and back in, worked eventually haha
