Something has gone wrong with newest Gen Ipod

I have the newest gen iPod touch 32GB, and for some reason now when I try to add music it like almost freezes up and just says syncing for a long time, I've left it alone to see what it would do and it just continues to sync nonstop.. even just adding one song from my library to it will take several minutes.. I've reset the device and even restored it and wiped it clean and the problem continues.. Anyone know what may be wrong or how to fix it?
