Hello,

I have the following problem with iPhoto:

When I select a bunch of pictures in the viewer pane and create a new album, it contains the selected pictures, which is OK. So far so good but:

When I deselect all pictures (or events for that matter) - nothing has a yellow border around it - in the viewer pane and create a new album, it contains all the pictures viewed/shown in the viewer pane although they WEREN'T selected.

Where's the problem then?

There's no problem, it's just iPhoto trying to be helpful. This is part of the price we pay for having a lot of switchers come over -- they expect that behaviour.

It's not a big deal, though. Create the album, select all (in the album) aka Command-A, press delete. Voila, empty album.

I think you are right, one usually doesn't want to create an empty album, do they? :)
