• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

If you have the audio cables plugged into the correct port, with Panasonic, you need to go into the menu on the TV and change the audio for the HDMI port you are using from digital to analog.

If you can't find it, open up the owner's manual for instructions or you can surf through this thread. Should be at least a couple of posts there with pics. (hint: do a search of that thread for 'Panasonic')

A little more time today - here's a post with pics for a Panasonic - realize that was for a specific model and the ports for that one may not be the same as for your model.

If you have everything plugged into the correct ports, then you only need the last pic there to change the audio to analog.

If you have not already done so, it's time to open your owner's manual to find out which HDMI port(s) may be used with separate audio and which audio port must be used in conjunction with it.
