Hi there. I don't know much about graphics cards and have preordered the space marine game. I am planning to run via bootcamp.

I have a 13" MBP 2011.

I just wanted to know if the HD 3000 graphics card in my mac will be able to run it. I don't wanna spend $90 on it if it won't. I know everything else suits the requirements.

The minimum requirements are below.

PLEASEEEE HELP.

Any help GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks.

Warhammer 40000 Space Marine Minimum System Requirements

It's hard to say whether or not it will run satisfactorily. The HD 3000 is right on the edge of being sufficient to run it according to the game's GFX requirements you posted. Most system requirements are stated as a minimum so you can generally expect that you'll need more GFX power. All the other requirements are easily met by your 2011 MBP 13".

If possible, download a demo and try it out first before you spend the $90.

If you go to the AMD site and look up the specs regarding their 3800 series of GPUs you can get some idea of comparing it to the Intel HD 3000. My opinion is they're about the same. Of course that may depend more on how much VRAM is dedicated to the GPU. The Intel HD 3000 is an integrated GPU and borrows memory from the system.
