Just FYI - issue and potential solution.
We've been made aware of a potential issue printing to network printers from 10.6.8. The print job will stall or "pause" and hang in the local printer queue, never moving to the printer. Apple engineering is aware of the issue. Current recommendations for resolving the issue recommend replacing the /usr/libexec/cups/backend folder with one from 10.6.7 and editing the ppd files in /etc/cups/ppd and adding cupsSNMPSupplies: False as the last line of the ppd script.
Hopefully Apple will have a patch soon.
