Hello,

Im really hoping someone can shed some light on this as its driving me insane, its probably something really simple that i'm overlooking...

Since upgrading my G5 to Mac OSX 10.5.8 I haven't been able to connect to the internet. I'm connecting via ethernet, and the ethernet status says that its connected with the green circle. Im connceting via a sky broadband router which when I log on using a PC and check the status it recognises that my mac is connected. I can also connect via wifi on my MacBook.
When I try to connect on the G5 I get the "server not found" error am I missing something?

Pleeeeeeeease help me!! :'(

(G5 with dual 1.8 GHz PowerPC processor)

is the G5 getting an IP address from the router or is it in a different range

it should be 192.168.0.XX or 192.168.1.XX

Be sure in Networking that it's set DHCP or it will not get an IP address from the router.

Also agree with what louishen said.
