usb 2.0 upgrade?

Does anybody know if it is possible to upgrade a g3 ibook's usb ports so that a usb 2.0 connection.
Any help would be appreciated.

You cannot upgrade your existing ports; the hardware for USB 2.0 is simply different. The iBook does not have any sort of PCMCIA slot or any other internal expandability other than adding new HD/RAM. So in a word, no. You're stuck with USB 1.1 until you get another computer.

The ports are a part of the logicboard (mainboard) and can't be removed or exchanged.
If you need to use external harddrives/iPods/burners look into getting Firewire versions instead and maybe get a firewire hub as well so you can hook up multiple devices at once.
