Colour issues with 30" Cinema HD Display.

When I first turn on my Mac Pro in the morning, the display's colour profile appears incorrect e.g. colours are slightly washed out and too bright. This is a real problem as I work as a graphic designer / photographer.

The only way I can resolve this is to unplug the monitor from the graphics card and then plug back in. This solves the problem - until I start again the next day.

I have used another Samsung monitor on this setup and all appears fine.

Any ideas how to solve this? Or even what is causing the problem.

Thanks,

Bill

I have had similar issues with displays on a Windows machine, and shortly thereafter the graphics card failed. It may be a symptom of a pending hardware failure.

Hi - thanks for the feedback, I did wonder if that may be the case. Looks like I will have to get the wallet out.

Cheers.
