Streaming from MacPro to TV

I'm trying to stream Netflix movies to TV from MacPro. I have connected with HDMI adapter and am able to see my desktop pic on the TV but no movie. Help!:\

I'm trying to stream DVDs to TV from my MacPro. Connected to TV with HDMI cable. Changed TV input but all I see is my desktop pic. Movie shows on MacPro but not TV screen. :(
