Watching a video on Facebook, next thing the volume goes to max on my MacBook and I cannot reduce the volume at all. Restarted, same thing, virus scan, nothing. Any ideas?

Try resetting the PRAM as that's where the sound settings and speaker volume are stored.

Are you using the built-in monitor, or are you using an external monitor with HDMI. I've seen the same thing happen with an HDMI connection to an external monitor.

Problem sorted, it seems to have defaulted from internal speakers to aggregated audio device.... Funny thing is, I did nothing for this to change....

I know the command Key whats the 'option' Key?

The one that says 'option' on it on a Mac keyboard or 'alt' if you're using a Win keyboard.
