While my wife's slightly older macbook never loses a connection, mine does very frequently. It will re-establish the connection about 5 seconds after losing it.
I have a 2wire router and have seen quite a bit of discussion about compatability problems, but no real solutions. The U-verse Tech is on his way out now, but I am not very optimistic that anything he does to the router is going to help.
Both computers can be in the same room and while one stays connected, the other has problems dropping a signal. Very frustrating.
My computer never has connection issues in other locations (school campus, coffee shops, friend's houses, etc.).
Anyone had the same problem that got it resolved?
