Does anyone know how to get videos off of an iPad? I had spent hours converting some dvds to the right format for the iPad and then my hard drive crashed and I lost everything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

You can open iPhoto and import the videos there. It will create new events for them.

The video file type is why iPhoto doesn't recognize them.
If you can convert the videos to M4VP, iPhoto will "see" them and allow you to import into iPhoto.

Why you need a backup of your hard drive. ;D

iPhoto will only see the stuff that's in the Camera Roll. To get at just about anything else you're going to need an app that can browse the folder structure of the iPad. There are a few out there now. One of them is Phoneview.
